Goldfields Woodlands National Park and Conservation Park
A lovely park for some remote bush camping.

Landscapes: this vast park and reserve conserves a wilderness of woodlands and heathlands – the woodlands themselves form part of the largest temperate woodland wilderness in the world.
Distinguished by undulating plains the park supports a number of landscapes, typically upland sandplains supporting kwongan or heathlands, and bottomland plains supporting a diversity of woodlands dominated by salmon gums, gimlets, etc. At intervals are dry lakes while elsewhere there are granite rocks and outcrops such as Victoria and Boondi rocks. These rocks rise up to 40m above the plains and offer good views.
Size: 126,500ha approx.
Access: along described route approx 93-133kmE of Southern Cross.
From the Boondi turnoff (105/250) a 3km unsealed road leads to a camping area.
Also, from Coolgardie, take the unsealed Victoria Rock Road for 46km to Victoria
Rock
Features: Boondi Rock; Victoria Rock; Woolgangie Rock; Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail; Woolgangie townsite; historic Holland Track; historic Kalgoorlie woodline remnants; salmon gum woodlands; gimlet woodlands; wilderness countryside.
Activities: birdwatching; bush camping; bushwalking; photography; nature study.
At Boondi Rock there is an easy walking trail over the rock (1.3km/30mins). At Victoria Rock a short bushwalk leads up and over the rock.
Facilities: information shelter; picnic area, fireplace, toilets at Boondi Rock; picnic area at Victoria Rock.
Camping: yes – at Boondi Rock and Victoria Rock.
